19-Year-Old Driver Dies In Multi-Vehicle Crash In Nassau: Police

The overnight collision took place at the intersection of Peninsula Boulevard and Ocean Avenue, police said.

LYNBROOK, NY — One man is dead in a multi-car collision overnight in Lynbrook, police say.

It happened just after midnight when a 2009 BMW, driven by a 19-year-old man, struck a pair of vehicles. First, the BMW collided with a Nissan Pathfinder at the intersection of Ocean Avenue and Peninsula Boulevard, police said.

The BMW then hit a 2019 Dodge Ram pick-up truck with a 38-year-old driver at a red light.

Police said the 19-year-old BMW driver was transported to an area hospital with internal injuries and was pronounced dead at 1:25 a.m. Tuesday, detectives said.

The other three victims, including the 57-year-old man driving the Pathfinder and a 51-year-old woman who was a passenger, were taken to hospitals with minor injuries.
