Incumbent Brian Curran is being challenged by Travis Bourgeois.

In the race for the 21st Assembly District, incumbent Republican Brian Curran is being challenged by Democrat Travis Bourgeois.

Curran, the former mayor of Lynbrook, has represented the district since 2011. He represented District 14 for his first term, before redistricting changed it to the 21st. Bourgeois is a longtime Baldwin resident who has worked closely with Democratic Nassau County Legislator Laura Curran, who has no relation to Bourgeois's opponent. He is a state-certified paralegal.
