4 Armed Men Invade Nassau Home

BREAKING: It happened early this morning, police. One of the men was wearing a "Scream" Halloween mask.

ELMONT, NY – Four men armed with handguns invaded a Nassau County home early Tuesday, police said.

According to police, the men entered a home on 237th Street by kicking in a side door and then went into a basement apartment, where they pistol-whipped a 28-year-old male resident in the back of the head after demanding money at about 12:45 a.m.

The men stole an undisclosed amount of cash, jewelry and car keys before fleeing the scene by unknown means, police said.

The resident, who sustained a laceration to the head, refused medical aid.

Police released the following descriptions of two of the suspects:

  • 20-30 years-old, 5-foot-11, wearing a white "Scream" Halloween mask and a black hoodie
  • 20-30 years-old, about 5-foot-5, wearing a black or gray hoodie and a ski mask

The other two men were only described as wearing black or gray hoodies with ski masks.
