7 Kids, Driver On School Bus Involved In LI Crash: Police

HEMPSTEAD, NY — 7 students and a driver were on a school bus involved in a crash on the Southern State Parkway Thursday afternoon, but none were hurt, police said.

According to New York State Police, the crash took place just after 3 p.m. in the westbound lane near Exit 19 in Hempstead.

The collision involved a school bus and two passenger vehicles, police said.

There were seven children and one driver on the bus, none of whom were injured; one passenger from one of the vehicles was taken to the hospital out of precaution, police said.
