Who couldn't use a 'break' from the typical bar scene?

At Raxx in West Hempstead you can have just that after you pick your cue, rack'em up and enjoy a friendly or competitive game of pool.

The local bar and restaurant features 30 pool tables for casual play, leagues and weekly and monthly in-house tournaments.

In between shots, you can wet your whistle at the 50-foot bar, watch the game action on one of the plasma T.V.'s and order a burger, signature Raxx Melt or other savory dish from the "The Grill." 

The 12,000 square foot-space opened in 2007, and has since become a popular place to watch the big games, hang out with friends and see top players compete in regional tournaments including regional tours including the Joss 9-Ball Tour, Mezz Tour, JPNewt Tour, and thePredator Tour. They also host private parties.

Raxx is open Mondays through Wednesdays from 4 p.m. to 2 a.m. and  Thursdays from 4 p.m. to  3am, Fridays from 4 p.m.  to 4 a.m., Saturdays from 2 p.m. to 4 a.m. and Sundays from 2 p.m. to 2 a.m.
