Owner Michelle Oh opened the full-service salon here nearly a decade ago and has since embraced her clients as if they are family.
"I've seen high school girls grow up and go on to become teachers...have babies," she said. "The people here are so nice."

Malverne says the same about Oh. Her customers remarked that aside from the cleanliness of Oh's business, it's also the friendly service and her warm smile that keep them coming back.
In a typical month, over 100 people - women, men, teens and young girls who come with their mothers - choose the salon when they need to be pampered.
Oh and her staff perform massages, waxing and manicures and pedicures using over 250 shades of polish.
Oh said the surprising trend this spring is dark colors, such as gray and purple hues. Sparkles are also popular. She also said oval-shaped nails are "in," but has noticed that Malvernites usually stick to what they like despite what the fashion mags say.
