Accident Closes Lane On State Parkway: County

MALVERNE, NY — Southern State Parkway drivers can expect some delays Wednesday after an accident led to a lane closure on the road's eastbound side, traffic officials said.

According to traffic management officials, an accident took place between Exit 17S and Exit 18 on the eastbound side of the parkway Wednesday morning. In an announcement made just after 9:30 a.m., traffic officials said the accident left the left lane of the parkway blocked.
