APPLE BANK FOR SAVINGS APPOINTS GWENEITA SCOTT

BRANCH MANAGER OF ELMONT, LONG ISLAND BRANCH OFFICE

ELMONT, NY – September 30, 2014 – Apple Bank for Savings announced today that it has promoted Gweneita Scott, Assistant Vice President, to Branch Manager of its Elmont, Long Island branch office. The branch is located at 1693 Hempstead Turnpike.

James Matera, Executive Vice President of Apple’s Consumer Banking Division, said, “With over 30 years of banking experience, Gweneita is a valuable and committed member of the Apple Bank team. She has been very successful in business development, customer service and community outreach for Apple Bank.”

Prior to becoming Branch Manager of the Elmont branch, Gweneita had been Assistant Branch Manager at this location since 2003. Gweneita began her banking career in 1984 with Emigrant Savings Bank in the bank’s 6th Avenue office in Greenwich Village in Manhattan. Since that time, Gweneita served in various customer service capacities with increasing responsibility until becoming Assistant Vice President in 2004.

Gweneita graduated from Pace University in Manhattan and Jamaica High School in Queens. She grew up in Brooklyn and currently resides in Baldwin, Long Island with her husband. They have three grown children.
