Assemblyn Curran Discusses 'Mixed Bag' 2013-14 State Budget
Despite "short-sighted policies of the past," Curran says budget is a win for students and middle class families.
Assemblyman Brian Curran, R-Lynbrook:
“This year’s budget had many difficult challenges to overcome, including confronting a $1.5 billion budget deficit. While there were many successes for Nassau families and seniors in the final budget, many of these victories were tempered by the attachment of short-sighted policies of the past. I am delighted that there are no new taxes or fees in this budget – and that spending was kept below a 2-percent increase."
