Frankenweenie, Alice In Wonderland, Dora, Free NYC Events and More This Weekend

This weekend, there are a host of children’s theatrical performances including the “Jump Up, It’s A Good Day” and “Up in the Air” at the Long Island Children’s MuseumSaturday and Sunday; Valley Stream Central High School’s One-Act Plays, and South High School’s rendition of “The Wizard of Oz.”  My teen sources say that South’s ticket rate is about $5 – $7. Elmont Library is hosting “The Frog Prince” this weekend as well.Plaza Theatrical presents “Dora the Explorer Live! A Pirate Adventure in Bellmore.

Further out on the island you can find a list of kid-friendly events as listed on Mommy Poppins Long Island.  One event of note is Alice in Wonderland now playing at the John Engeman Theatre thru May 5th.
