Say 'Buh Bye' to Allergy Face!

Learn how to get rid of the ugly side affects of Allergies (red eyes, red nose) from the pros! Great makeup tips for this fall!

I had the absolute pleasure of going to the London Hotel in NYC this past Wednesday for the Zyrtec sponsored Combat Allergy Face event.

I arrived at a beautiful suite and enjoyed a cocktail (yes, fine, I had TWO) before the wonderful presention of how to stop your face from looking like an allergy face! You know what an allergy face is right? That look you have in allergy season that no matter how much effort you put into your make up you just can't seem to cover up the glossy red eyes and red nose.

Well my friends thanks to Zyrtec, and Rebekah George, I now hold the keys for you to kick your allergy face out the door this upcoming fall!

Maintain your cosmetic essentials. Clean your brushes or even put them in a ziploc bag after to make sure no dust gets on them and reduce contamination, which would then be spread on your face.

Wash your makeup bag! Keeping your bag clean leads to keeping everything in it clean, pretty easy right? Also make sure to refresh your makeup regularly. Don't let it sit in your bag too long -- buy it, use it, renew it! Remember everytime you go outside pollen and other allergens latch onto you. By keeping a clean makeup bag and washing your makeup off every night, you are helping yourself get rid of those pesky pollen particles!

To get your eyes looking refreshed, keep two spoons in your refrigerator at all times, take them out and lay them on your eyes, relaxing your eyes and invigorating yourself! Also apply your mascara from the midsection of your lashes up, not from the base. By keeping the brush in that midsection for a moment or two longer you will do even more to pump up the curl of those luscious lashes!

Rebakah George goes as far as saying that it isn't the mascara that is the key to lashes, it is the brush. So when you get one of those expensive mascaras, make sure to keep the brush afterwards, that is where the magic lies. After it's used you can buy a less expensive brand!

To keep your eyes looking fresh put a dab of gloss (plan old lip gloss) right on the middle of your eyelid, which will brighten the eye and reflect light. Also use a white pencil on the inner lid, to brighten up your eyes and wake up your face -- ah the wonders of makeup illusions!
