Chamber Names West Hempstead Small Biz of the Year

Hilda Manuella, who owns Finest Security with her husband, is honored for her service to the community.

Hilda Manuella is more than just a business woman.

In addition to owning Finest Security with her husband, Robert, both 20 year residents of West Hempstead, she is also an active community volunteer.

She is a catechist at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, a 14-year member of the West Hempstead Parent-Teacher-Student-Association and recording secretary of the West Hempstead Chamber of Commerce, who honored her with a special distinction this month for her service.

At the 27th annual legislative breakfast of the Nassau Council of Chambers, Manuella was named Small Business Owner of the Year for West Hempstead. She accepted the award and congratulations from local merchants and officials last week at the reception held at the Crest Hollow Country Club in Woodbury.

Here she is pictured with Hempstead Town Supervisor Kate Murray, Councilman James Darcy, Town Clerk Mark Bonilla and West Hempstead Chamber President Karl Riesterer Sr.
