Cops: Man Offers Car Ride to Teen Girl, Exposes Himself in Hempstead

A man offered a car ride to a teenage girl and exposed himself to her as she walked home from school in Hempstead Wednesday, according to Nassau County Police.

The 13-year-old victim was walking on Lawrence Road when she passed a white Chevrolet four-door sedan parked at the curb, cops said. A man inside the car asked the girl if she needed a ride home but the victim noticed he was exposing himself, police said.

The victim ran back to her school and reported the incident to school officials. The man drove away in an unknown direction.

Detectives said the incident happened at 3:20 p.m. Wednesday.
