Police ID Driver Killed In Southern State Parkway Crash
Police are still investigating the crash, which overturned a car in the middle of the road.
UPDATE, 3:50 P.M.: State police have released more details on the crash that killed a driver on the Southern State Parkway this morning.
According to police, Ashlee Tessono, 28, of North Baldwin, was driving her 2005 Toyota Scion east on the Southern State Parkway, west of Exit 17, when she lost control of the car. The car left the road and struck a tree, causing her to be ejected from the car and for the car to overturn.
Tessono was rushed to Nassau University Medical Center, where she died from her injuries.

ORIGINAL STORY: One person died in an early morning crash on the Southern State Parkway in Malverne, state police said.
According to police, at 5:47 a.m., a call came in for a crash on the Southern State west of Exit 17. There was a car overturned in the middle of the road, occupied only by the driver.

The driver, who police have not named, was killed.
Police are still investigating the crash, but the road has reopened.
