Crime Report: Fraud Cases Reported in Lynbrook

The following information was supplied by the Lynbrook Police Department. A criminal charge is only an accusation, and does not indicate convictions.

Arrests

  • On May 6 at 8:25 p.m., Matthew Watty, 55, of Cedarhurst, N.Y., was arrested on Langdon Place in Lynbrook on an open Trespass warrant from Nassau County First District Court.
  • On May 8 at 1:35 a.m., Marco Romero, 49, of Hempstead, N.Y., was arrested on Broadway in Lynbrook on an open Vehicle and Traffic Law warrant from Hempstead Court.
  • On May 9 at 8 a.m., Andrew Zizzo, 41, of Bethpage, N.Y., was arrested on Sunrise Highway in Lynbrook on a parole violation for Possession of Stolen Property.
  • On May 9, Kenneth Davey, 21, of Rosedale, N.Y., was arrested for Aggravated Harassment in the second degree. Police say the incident occurred at a residence on Union Avenue in Lynbrook.
  • On May 9 at 8:55 a.m, Robert Livingston, of Lynbrook, N.Y., was arrested and charged with Robbery in the second degree. Police say the incident occurred at a residence on Walnut Street in Lynbrook.
  • On May 10 at 4:30 a.m., Denequa Graves, 22, of Amityville, N.Y., was arrested on Sunrise Highway in Lynbrook and charged with Aggravated Unlicensed Operation, operating a vehicle with a suspended registration, and had an open arrest warrant from Nassau County First District Court for Resisting Arrest.
  • On May 11 at 9:52 p.m., Christopher Lampert, 23, of East Rockaway, N.Y., was arrested on Hempstead Avenue in Lynbrook and charged with Unlawful Possession of Marijuana.
  • On May 12 at 12:50 a.m., Jose Maldonado, 45, of Uniondale, N.Y., was arrested on Peninsula Boulevard in Lynbrook and charged with Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a motor vehicle.

  • On May 5 at 5:45 p.m., it was reported that an unknown subject attempted to deposit a forged check in the amount of $6,879.34 from an account belonging to a Lynbrook resident at a Capitol One Bank in New Jersey.
  • On May 6, it was reported that an orange Malibu II xl Kayak — valued at $1,000 — was taken from the side yard of a Lawrence Avenue residence in Lynbrook.
  • On May 6, a Lynbrook complainant reported that $1,209 was taken from her checking account at various ATMs in California using the victim's Visa debit card.
  • On May 8, a Lynbrook complainant reported that an unknown person charged $313.50 in unauthorized charges to her debit card, which had been lost at the Holiday Inn Express in Lynbrook.
  • On May 9, a Lynbrook complainant reported that $1,013.25 was taken from various ATMs in California using the victim’s debit card information, which may have been obtained from a breach in security of  Sony's Playstation Network.
