Assemblyman Brian Curran (Lynbrook-21st AD) recently helped secure $100,000 for the purchase and replacement of new playground equipment, pathways, benches, landscaping and more, at the Village of Lynbrook’s Greis Park. Village Mayor William Hendrick accepted the grant money secured through the New York State Budget. Curran noted the current playground is designated for children aged 2-5 and 5-12.

“Everyone in our area knows how wonderful Greis Park is for our children and families,” said Curran, who has held community events there in the past. “This grant will go toward the beautification of the park for the entire Lynbrook community to enjoy. Getting these new upgrades will make the park that much more attractive, but more importantly, safer for our children to use.”
