“Speaking with students and helping them with their education is very important to me. When I visit schools like Hewlett Elementary, I am always reminded how insightful and inspiring our young children can be,” said Curran. “These kids were well prepared and excited for our discussion and their lesson. Their teachers and parents all should be very proud.”
After the lesson, Curran spent some extra time with the students.

“It’s good to hang out with and show kids that, even though I am their representative, I am still approachable,” said Curran. “I enjoy having small group conversations with them because that’s when their curiosity sparks and they ask more questions. It’s a great way to communicate my mission and what I am doing in Albany for them and their families.”
