Community Corner

Developers Holding Community Meeting For Lynbrook Development

The proposal is for a 200-unit apartment complex and a parking garage that will add 100 spots to the village.

Terwilliger & Bartone Properties will be holding an informational open house on Oct. 22 for Lynbrook residents to learn more about the Cornerstone at Lynbrook proposal. The proposal includes a new apartment community located on the southwest corner of Earle Avenue and St. James Place, as well as a new commuter parking garage to replace and expand an existing village lot nearby.

The Cornerstone at Lynbrook Community Open House event will be held on Monday, Oct. 22, 2018 at the Elks Lodge at 57 Hempstead Ave. All community members are welcome to stop by anytime during the event hours of 6-8 p.m. to learn more about the traffic improvements, public amenities, new streams of revenue and more.

“We look forward to becoming part of the fabric of the Lynbrook community,” said Anthony Bartone, managing partner of Terwilliger & Bartone Properties. “The Cornerstone at Lynbrook is a zero-variance proposal that will help meet the high demand by millennials and empty-nesters who desire downtown residences in close proximity to transit. A walkable downtown is a key differentiator that helps communities flourish, and the Cornerstone will help make this vision a reality and give the businesses downtown a major boost in foot traffic.”

The Cornerstone at Lynbrook will include 200 luxury apartments, including studio, one-, and two-bedroom units. Residential parking will be contained on site.

The proposal will also increase available parking in the area by creating a new 400-space commuter parking garage as a public amenity on a nearby village-owned property at the corner of Broadway and Langdon Place. This parking garage will be funded by Terwilliger & Bartone Properties and will add 100 parking spaces to the village. A temporary parking area will be created on the site of the proposed residential development while the garage is built to minimize impacts during construction.
