Drunken Driver Kills Man In Crash: Nassau Police
Police say the man who was hit was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead by doctors.

An Elmont woman was arrested on Sunday after police say she was driving drunk and caused an early morning crash that killed one man.
According to police, a 64-year-old man was driving a 2003 Chevrolet was driving west on B Street in Elmont at 3:10 a.m. when police say he was struck by Julie Debrosse, 30, of Sun Avenue, Elmont. Police say she was driving a 2017 Honda north on Meacham Avenue. Police say the man suffered body trauma and was taken to a hospital for treatment, where he was pronounced dead by doctors.
Debrosse suffered internal bleeding and was also taken to a hospital for treatment. Police say an investigation showed she was driving under the influence of alcohol.

Both cars were impounded for brake an safety checks.
Debrosse is charged with second-degree vehicular manslaughter and DWI. She will be arraigned when medically practical. The identity of the man is being withheld until his family is notified.
