Firefighters Battle Blaze In West Hempstead
The 911 call came in to police just after 2 p.m. on Wednesday.
WEST HEMPSTEAD, NY — A fire on Wednesday afternoon was believed to have started on the upper level of a two-story building in West Hempstead.
Nassau police responded to the scene at 523 Hempstead Avenue at 2:12 p.m. Police had no information on any injuries.
A photo on social media showed the thick, black smoke rising.
