Freedom Tax Service Wins Readers' Choice Award

When we asked Malverne-West Hempstead Patch readers who they trust to get their taxes right, more than 90 percent of those who voted in this week's declared the best.

Arnold Palleschi and John Mastromarino, partners in the financial services firm, have been helping customers file their individual income taxes for the past 30 years. They moved their business to the village of Malverne roughly six years. 

"We found a nice, cozy little spot here," Palleschi said of their office, located on Trinity Place. "People seem to find us ... mostly through word of mouth," he added. 

So what makes Palleschi and Mastromarino the best tax preparers in Malverne-West Hempstead?

"Once somebody comes here, they find out how reasonable and honest we are, that we never inflate anything but give them a good, honest tax return," Palleschi said. "They always come back."
