Gateway to Nations is one of New York’s finest summer events held on the grounds of Brooklyn's Floyd Bennet Field during the first weekend in June. The Redhawk Native American Arts Council brought members of the Oneida, Shinnecock, Cherokee, Iroquois, the South American tribes of Kechuwa and Taino for a three day Pow Wow of American Indian culture in NYC. It was a beautiful sunny weekend filled with pow wow dancing, drums, Native songs, educational programs, crafts, jewelry, and great food. The bird of prey demonstration was incredible.
