Long Island Weather: Monday's Hour-By-Hour Snow Forecast
April showers may bring May flowers, but what exactly does April snow bring?

We are hoping this is the last hour-by-hour snow forecast we have to publish for a long, long time. After a string of powerful nor'easters in March, Long Island is expected to get hit with 3-5 inches of snow on the second day of April.
A winter weather advisory will be in effect from 2 a.m until 2 p.m. Monday. The National Weather Service says we will likely see a "quick-hitting 3-4 hour period of moderate to even locally heavy snow" with snowfall rates of 1-2 inches per hour possible. Snowfall rates will likely overwhelm warmer ground temperatures and allow snow to accumulate on roads mainly during and just after the morning commute.
Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect for 4-5 inches of snow late tonight into Monday. Locally higher amounts up to 6 inches will be possible. For some locations as noted in the table, the last time there was at least 2 inches of April snow was about 15 years ago. pic.twitter.com/sDLNoAeHJ2
