Kindergarten Registration Begins In One LI School District

LYNBROOK, NY — The first step in getting an education for youngsters in the Lynbrook Union Free School District is beginning.

Online registration for kindergarten got underway on Dec. 1.

However, it is a two-part process for families, who will also be required to attend meetings in January and February.

Children are eligible to enter kindergarten if they are residents of the district and will be five years old on or before Dec. 1, 2022.

In-person registration meetings:

• West End School on January 18 & 20, 2022
• Marion Street School on January 25 & 27, 2022
• Waverly Park School on February 1 & 3, 2022

Certain items must be shown for verification at the appointment, including proof of student's birth, immunization and physical exam proof, proof of residency and parent's information.
