King Kullen Planning To Shut 2 Nassau Locations: Report

The supermarket chain is the largest family-owned on Long Island.

FRANKLIN SQUARE, NY — A pair of King Kullen supermarkets will close next month.

The grocery store at 206 New Hyde Park Rd. in Franklin Square is scheduled to shut its doors for the final time on July 14, Newsday reported.

That King Kullen has been a mainstay of the community, in operation for nearly 50 years.

The largest family-owned Long Island-based supermarket is also planning to close the Glen Cove location at 77 Forest Ave. on July 28, Newsday said.
