Lynbrook Artists Get A Foot Up In Vans Shoe Competition
Five students from Lynbrook were named semi-finalists. Your votes can help them win.

Lynbrook High School National Art Honor Society members Bridget Forster, Jen Stewart, Hannah Holquist, Naya Krcic and Gabriela Urena are among the Top 50 semifinalists in the Vans Custom Culture art competition. The top finalists will be selected through public voting now through May 10.
Visit http://customculture.vans.com/vote to vote for the Lynbrook team. The winning team will receive $50,000 for their school’s art program.
The competition will culminate in a final event this June, with teams from five schools winning an all-expense-paid trip to Los Angeles to showcase their designs to a panel of celebrity judges.

“This is really exciting news for the school, the students, the NAHS and
the Lynbrook High Art Department,” said Michael Kunz, NAHS advisor. “We are going to need everyone in the school and community to promote our shoes.”
In addition to the $50,000 prize, the winning team may have one of its designs sold in Vans retail locations. The four runner-up schools will receive $4,000 toward their art program. Individual students may also receive scholarship money totaling as much as $40,000.
