Lynbrook Bakery Donates More Than $7K To Family Of Fallen Officer

Lynbrook bakery Doughology has raised more than $7,000 for the family of NYPD Det. Brian Simonsen through a fundraiser of blue line doughnuts.

Doughology began selling the special donuts after Simonsen, a Riverhead resident, was killed in the line of duty last week. The bakery was selling doughnuts with a blue line of frosting across them to raise money for Simonsen's family.

After only three days, Doughology raised thousands of dollars for the family. On Sunday, the store's owners announced they were donating $7,728 to the Simonsen family.
