Lynbrook Businesses Offering Super Bowl Specials

Lynbrook Giants fans aren’t the only ones happy to see their team in the Super Bowl next Sunday – some local stores are looking forward to the extra business.
is one shop that has gone all-out for the Giants playoff run. Their famous blue bagels are normally 90 cents a piece or $10.80 a dozen; however, bagels are 25 percent off on Sunday's, or $8.10 a dozen.

Owners Kaitlyn and Michael Clancy said that they have already sold "at least 300 a day,” with no signs of that slowing down any time soon.
“It’s takes a lot of food dye to make them,” Kaitlyn said. “The key is to cook them well, but not to burn them.”

on Union Avenue couldn’t be happier to see the Giants in the big game. Co-owners Mike and Rob Greco said they will be offering a half-tray of wings (about 45 total) for $27, and a dinner special (24 wings, two sides, an appetizer and a 2-liter soda) will be $24 plus tax, $3 off the regular price.
Pop’s will be open late Sunday and Mike said that customers should pre-order their food “a couple of days in advance” for obvious reasons.
“It’s going to be crazier than crazy – absolutely insane in here,” he said.
It’s not all about food Sunday. Men's and Boy's “Count Down to the Super Bowl" began on Thursday Jan. 26th and runs until game day, Feb. 5.
“It starts off with everything 40, 50 and 60% off - Buy one item, get 40% off. Buy two and get the second item 50% off. Buy a third item and get that for 60% off,” owner Harry Levitt explained.
In addition, Levitt said that by making a purchase during this time customers will be automatically be entered to have a chance for a full refund and keep the merchandise. The catch is that one of the teams must be shut out.
Levitt said that as an added bonus, when a customer makes a purchase, they get to choose a Super Bowl box and if they win, they will also receive a gift certificate to be used towards a future purchase.
At down the block on Atlantic Ave., "Super Bowl Sunday Box Break" is the big draw, with prizes valued up to $1,000. On Super Bowl Sunday from 12 p.m. to 1:30 p.m., purchase any sealed hobby box for any sport, any year from the store during that time, and a winner will be determined by picking the card with the highest card value out of their box.
Possible prizes include a framed autograph of Eli Manning, Joe Namath autographed Super Bowl collage, a 1949 Brooklyn Dodgers pennant/Jackie Robinson Shadowbox collage, and a Joe DiMaggio/Ted Williams Dual Framed Certified Autograph.
