A Lynbrook graduate’s business pitch was selected as a top contender for an entrepreneurial competition in California.
David Mahfouda, a 2000 Lynbrook High School graduate, was one of dozens to pitch a business idea to appear at VERGE Accelerate’s showcase in San Francisco.

Mahfouda, CEO of Bandwagon.io, explained his company’s quest to provide easy-to-share cab rides in his video pitch.
Bandwagon uses a “rideback server” which analyzes itineraries of passengers to find which trips can be combined. The purpose of the company is to sell taxi seats rather than rides, thereby reducing the cost to consumers, make services more available, and cut effects to the environment.
