Lynbrook PBA Donates To Youth Environmental Club
The PBA helped out the West End Environmental Club with its latest project.

On the heels of Earth Day, members of The Lynbrook PBA stopped by West End Elementary School to visit the school's Environmental Club. The club is made up of approximately 20 students from the 3rd, 4th and 5th grades and is under the direction of faculty members Diana Solow and Amanda Agarenzo. The club is actively seeking donations of any unwanted depositable drink containers in a dual effort to clean up the environment and raise money for the Lynbrook Teacher Fund, which is an established fund that helps any Lynbrook School District teacher who, because of illness or personal tragedy, may be dealing with financial difficulties.
Lynbrook PBA members Jeff Burke and Nick Gizzi dropped off two large trash bags containing empty cans and bottles that came from the police station’s own soda machine. With this donation, the Lynbrook PBA hopes to raise awareness of The Environmental Club's campaign and continue to break down the barriers that can exist between local police and its community's youth.
If you'd like to donate bottles and cans, please contact Diana Solow or Amanda Agarenzo at West End Elementary School for more details.
