Lynbrook Band 'They Might Be Giants' Performs on Conan

Danny Weinkauf, a New York based musician and composer from Lynbrook who is a member of the band They Might Be Giants (TMBG), recently performed on Conan O'Brien.

TMBG have released 15 studio albums and was formed in 1982. They have sold over four million records and had their song "Boss of Me" featured on the hit show, Malcolm in the Middle.

Lynbrook Superintendent Dr. Santo Barbarino congratulated Weinkauf during a school board meeting in 2009 after he announced that Weinkauf and TMBG won a Grammy award for Best Musical Children’s Album for "Here Come the 123s."

Weinkauf has been TMBG's bassist since the late 90s. Before that he was the bassist for the Fountains of Wayne on their debut self-titled album in 1996.
