Lynbrook School Budget Approved

Lynbrook residents approved the school district's budget in a vote Tuesday night.

The proposed $88,035,308 budget was approved 1,318 to 500. It came with a 2.26 percent tax levy increase.

There were also four people running for two open seats on the Board of Education this year. Incumbent trustees William Belmont and Heather Hanson both won reelection, with 1,115 votes for Belmont and 982 for Hanson. Challengers Danielle Longo and Dana Franklin earned 674 and 584 votes, respectively.
