Voters Easily Approve Lynbrook School Budget, Incumbents Re-Elected to BOE
Lynbrook residents headed to the polls Tuesday.

Lynbrook residents approved a 2016-17 school budget on Tuesday.
The $80.8 million budget was approved by a margin of 1,270 to 530. The budget is a 1.88 percent spending increase over the current year and it comes with a 0.24 percent hike in the school tax levy.
Voters also elected incumbent candidates William Belmont (with 1,135 votes) and Heather Hanson (with 1,057 votes) to the two available seats on the Lynbrook Board of Education.

They beat out Renee Gaughran (with 448 votes), Janessa Harvin (with 223 votes) and Michael Moreo (with 265 votes).
