Lynbrook School Budget Vote, Trustee Election Tuesday
Here's what you need to know before heading to the polls.

Lynbrook residents will head to the polls on Tuesday to cast their ballots for a proposed school budget and to elect school board trustees.
Polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. at Lynbrook North Middle School, Lynbrook South Middle School and Lynbrook High School.
The Lynbrook Board of Education is proposing a budget of $80,867,382 for 2016-17. That represents a 1.88 percent spending increase over the current year and it comes with a 0.24 percent hike in the school tax levy.

Voters will also elect school board trustees on Tuesday.
Incumbents William Belmont and Heather Hanson will be running against challengers Renee Gaughran, Janessa Harvin and Michael Moreo for the two open seats on the school board. The terms are for three years.
