Lynbrook Welcomes Its New Teachers

The new educators will start with the 2016-17 school year.

The Lynbrook School District welcomed 13 new teachers with a comprehensive two-day orientation program to inform them about policies and procedures and familiarize them with the district’s latest curriculum and technology.

"You have joined a remarkable group of people who are dedicated to the children of our school district,” said Superintendent of Schools Dr. Melissa Burak. “Our students are the reason we strive for excellence. As we say here in Lynbrook, ‘It’s all about the kids.’”

The new teachers were also introduced to their district administrators, principals and mentors. A bus tour of the surrounding Lynbrook community rounded out the presentation.
