Malverne Educator Gets Top Honor From State
Dr. Lorna R. Lewis, who joined the district in 2020, is being recognized for her leadership
MALVERNE, NY —A Malverne educator is getting recognized by the state. Superintendent of Schools Dr. Lorna R. Lewis will be honored with the Appreciation Award by the New York State Council of School Superintendents (NYSCOSS).
It is given for her leadership and positive impact on education throughout the state.
Lewis has been instrumental in the development of programs and curricula that benefit students. She has more than 40 years in the field of education and joined the Malverne Union Free School District as superintendent in July 2020.
