Malverne Mayor Able To 'Save Tax Dollars' For Repaving Project
The road work is expected to be completed by Thanksgiving, Mayor Keith Corbett announced.

MALVERNE, NY — Construction is taking place through the Village of Malverne. Road work was completed last week on Park Boulevard, Mayor Keith Corbett announced at Wednesday's Board of Trustees meeting.
It was fully paved from Hempstead Avenue to Ocean Avenue.
As the village has done in the past, they worked out a deal having to "pay for only a third of the roadway." Corbett said the remainder was covered by the utilities.

"It's nice to be able to save our tax dollars and ensure they go elsewhere," he said.
The overall road repairs, Corbett said, are seeing more time this month, thanks to unseasonably warm weather.

"I'm trying to get those roads done before Thanksgiving," he said.
Corbett said they are finishing up the western section of Malverne.
"We've been able to do that without raising taxes and living within our budget in our five-year capital plan," the mayor said.
He said by the holiday the entire village should see their roads repaved.
"If your street has not been done yet, we will get there," Corbett said.
