Malverne Schools Welcome New Teachers

The 18 new educators will start with the 2016-17 school year.

The Malverne School District welcomed 18 new teachers in an orientation at the high school prior to the start of the 2016-17 school year.

During the program, Steven Gilhuley, assistant superintendent for curriculum and instruction, spoke to the teachers about the most effective ways to impact students and led discussions about responsibilities, expectations and basic elements of instruction. The purpose of the orientation was to acquaint the new teachers with the expectations and core values of the district, as well as introduce them to the technologies and resources available to them and their students.
