Malverne Students Honor Local Heroes

Student council members in grades K-2 at Malverne's Maurice W. Downing Primary School held a special breakfast to honor role models to the district’s youngest students.

Volunteer firemen, Department of Public Works employees, police officers and town and village personnel from Malverne, Lynbrook and Lakeview were all invited to attend this annual event.

The students showed their appreciation to the heroes through a short presentation and song, followed by breakfast.
