Malverne Students Take Home Honorable Mention at LISEF

Malverne High School science research students Tosin Yeku and Ashley Akaeze won an honorable mention at the Long Island Science and Engineering Fair.

The two juniors have been developing a way to increase the efficiency of microbial fuel cells using biofilms. The project has hopes of providing the world with a cleaner source of electricity. They plan on continuing their work on the project and will compete next at the New York State Science and Engineering Fair in April.
