Malverne Welcomes Its New Teachers

The teachers were greeted by administrators at a special orientation.

New teachers in the Malverne Union Free School District were welcomed in an orientation at the high school prior to the start of the 2017-18 school year.

During the program, Steven Gilhuley, assistant superintendent for curriculum and instruction, spoke to the teachers about the most effective ways to impact students and led discussions about responsibilities, expectations and elements of instruction.

The purpose of the orientation was to acquaint the new teachers with the expectations and core values of the district, as well as introduce them to the technologies and resources available to them and their students.
