Malverne Youngsters Can Take Part In Saturday Preschool Classes
Registration for the free instruction starts on September 25.
MALVERNE, NY — A Saturday morning preschool program is available for free to children in the Malverne School District.
The weekly classes will focus on language improvement, cognitive growth and social development, the school said in a news release.
It will be held from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. on seven straight Saturdays starting October 9.

Children who will be 3 or 4 years of age by September 1, 2021 and toilet trained are eligible to participate.
Registration will take place at the Maurice W. Downing Primary School:

- September 25 from 9 a.m. to noon
- September 27 from 3:15 p.m. to 5:15 p.m.
- September 29 from 3:15 p.m. to 5:15 p.m.
- October 2 from 9 a.m. to noon
Documents needed for registration include driver's license, school tax receipt and updated immunization papers.
The classes, also at the Downing Primary School, will be conducted by certified elementary school teachers.
