Masked Man Robs Nassau Store at Gunpoint, Flees on Scooter

BREAKING: Police are still searching for the robber. No one was injured.

Police are searching for a man who held up a Lynbrook store at gunpoint and then fled on a scooter Thursday afternoon.

According to detectives, a man entered The Barn, located at 241 Hempstead Ave., at 1:23 p.m. armed with a handgun. He demanded money from the employee who was working at the store. The robber emptied the register before fleeing southbound on Hempstead Avenue on a Razor scooter. No injuries were reported.

The robber is described as a white man in his 20s. He was wearing a black ski mask, a black hoodie and tan pants.
