Motorcycle Driver Injured In West Hempstead Crash: Police
The crash happened late Friday on Hempstead Turnpike, according to Nassau County police.
WEST HEMPSTEAD, NY — A 66-year-old man was injured Friday when the motorcycle he was driving collided with a car on Hempstead Turnpike, according to authorities.
Nassau County police said the crash happened shortly after 11:30 p.m. in front of 311 Hempstead Turnpike when a 26-year-old man driving a Honda Civic collided with the motorcycle.
When authorities arrived at the crash scene, police said they found the motorcycle driver on the ground and bleeding heavily from his leg. Officers provided aid before taking the man to the hospital for treatment, authorities said.

The driver of the Civic remained at the crash scene. No criminal charges are expected, police said.
