Motorcyclist Dies After Colliding With Bus In Lynbrook: Police

Nassau County police said the 28-year-old man struck the rear of a NICE bus as it tried to make a left-hand turn.

LYNBROOK, NY — A 28-year-old man died Friday after the motorcycle he was driving collided with the back of a Nassau Inter-County Express bus, authorities said.

Nassau County police said the man was driving a 2010 Ducati motorcycle east on Peninsula Boulevard when he struck the NICE bus turning left onto Hempstead Avenue. Following the collision, debris from the crash struck a Honda CRV, police said.

The motorcyclist suffered serious injuries in the collision, police said. He was taken to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead.
