Nassau Gas Station Robbed At Gunpoint

Police are looking for the man who emptied the register at the station and then fled on foot.

Nassau police are searching for a man who robbed a gas station market in Elmont at gunpoint early Monday morning.

According to police, the man entered the Bolla Market at the Exxon Gas Station located at 355 Hempstead Turnpike at 3:30 a.m. The man pulled a black handgun on the 63-year-old man who was working as a clerk, and then leaned over the counter and took an unknown amount of cash from the register.

Police say the man then fled on foot Northeast on Hempstead Turnpike. He was last seen wearing dark clothes, dark gloves and a dark mask.

Detectives ask anyone with information about this crime to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS, or call 911. All callers will remain anonymous, and you can receive a cash reward if your information leads to an arrest.
