Nassau Man Robbed At Gunpoint While Walking Down The Street

Police say the man was approached by two others who pushed him to the ground and robbed him.

A Nassau man was robbed at gunpoint early Sunday morning, and police are looking for the men who robbed him.

According to police, a 41-year-old man was walking on 115th Terrace in Elmont at 4:30 a.m. Sunday when he was approached by two unknown men. One of the men shoved him to the ground, pulled out a black handgun and demanded his property. The two men stole his cell phone and cash, and then fled the scene in a black Honda, heading south on 238th Street. The victim was not injured.

The first robber was a black man, 5 feet, 7 inches tall and about 130 pounds, with a full beard, wearing a Polo brand hooded sweat suit. The second robber was also a black man, 5 feet, 8 inches tall and about 190 pounds, with short dark hair, wearing a gray sweater and light-colored jeans.

Police ask anyone with information about this robbery to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS. All callers will remain anonymous, and you could receive a cash reward if your information leads to an arrest.
