PHOTOS: Block Party Brings Out West Hempsteaders

Four West Hempstead businesses banded together last week to throw a party open to the entire community.

, , Becky's Deli and Phoenix Wellness Center set up balloons, tables and chairs and a small tent outside of their shops on Hempstead Avenue on Aug. 11 and invited all residents to come out for a block party.

Throughout the night locals enjoyed special deals on massages and other treats including a free dessert from the bakery for anyone who showed up with the official flyer. Newly-opened Nino's Pizzeria also dropped by with some pies.
