Queens Man Stole From Multiple Cars In Nassau: Police
Police say he was carrying stolen property and drugs on him when he was arrested.

NASSAU COUNTY, NY — A Queens man was arrested on Saturday and charged with multiple larcenies that police say occurred around southern Nassau County between July 27 and Aug. 8.
According to police, officers were on a routine patrol on Saturday when they saw Darion Torres, 23, of Beech 29 Street, Far Rockaway. Police say he was a person of interest in cases for several larcenies from cars in the area. The officers stopped Torres on Westwood Road. Police say he was in possession of a stolen laptop computer, a green vape containing what is believed to be THC and 26 wax paper envelopes containing a brown substance believed to be heroin. Torres was arrested without incident.
Police say that an investigation revealed that Torres stole cash, credit cards and items from cars on several occasions in the past few weeks:

Torres is charged with one count of third-degree grand larceny, seven counts of fourth-degree grand larceny, one count of attempted fourth-degree grand larceny, one count of unauthorized use of a vehicle, eight counts of petty larceny, one count of fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property, six counts of fifth-degree criminal possession of stolen property, two counts of seventh-degree criminal possession of stolen property, two counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance and criminal possession of a hypodermic instrument.
He was arraigned on Sunday in First District Court in Hempstead.
