Show Us Your Purim Costumes [Photos]

Did you dress up to celebrate the Jewish holiday last week? Share your photos here!

"Eat, drink and be merry." That's what many Jewish residents did last week as they celebrated the festival of Purim.

There are many customs associated with the holiday, which began at sunset on March 7 and continued into the following night. (You can learn more about them here.) One calls for children to dress up in disguises and serve as "enthusiastic messengers," bringing sweet treats to friends and neighbors.

Patch reader Jonathan Ezor sent us this photo of his two children dressed up in their Purim costumes in West Hempstead. Did your kids dress up too? Upload a photo to our gallery above.
